Supporting Local Charity

October 12, 2017 (Oakville, Ontario) – Tee Zone Driving Range has always prided itself on being more than just a driving range. In addition to its numerous golf development programs, Tee Zone supports many worthwhile causes in the Halton Region. Golf for the Physically Challenged is one such charity Tee Zone has embraced, an organization led by Chairman Richard Malinski that helps people, not only golfers, who have suffered a stroke or other physically debilitating injuries.   This summer, the Bot Construction Group held its 60th anniversary family day picnic at Tee Zone. Over 200 attended the event that raised over $1,300 for the charity.  A presentation was made today by Roy Bot, President of Bot Construction and his sister, Nancy Mercanti, President of the Silvio Bot Charitable Foundation to Mr. Malinski and his team from the Golf for the Physically Challenged.   “Our family foundation was named after our father Silvio who started Bot Construction in 1957, some 60 years ago. His legacy lives on through his Foundation which supports public health services that care for people with neurological illnesses. On behalf of everyone at Bot Construction and its new golf division Tee Zone, Roy and I are pleased to be able to support such a worthwhile cause,” said Nancy.    Richard Malinski and his team were grateful for the donation. “This was a pleasant surprise and we are most grateful to Roy and Nancy and everyone at Tee Zone for their support,” said Malinski after the cheque presentation. “The money will be put to good use!”
